The Story of Television: The Life of Philo T. Farnsworth (hardcover)

Geo Everson

ISBN: 0405060424

Used $30 and up

I would add that Geo Everson was an original backer for the television research in San Francisco where the first electronic television image was demonstrated.

Mrs. Farnsworth was also present and felt the book was slanted too much towards Everson and not so much to the topic.

A Special Note:

Produced by WGBH Boston, Margaret Drain and PBS, this is the most compelling and factual dramatic/documentary I know of and you might stil be able to buy a copy from them, or find it used ... local PBS stations sometimes rebroadcast programs like this if you ask.  VHS (might be available DVD now.)

Producer, Alison Trinkl, Writer Director David Dugan and the folks at WINDFALL FILMS have really stepped into larger shoes.  The family traveled with this group as they traveled the country to all the venues where this story developed, a uniting spirit infected everyone, it is not to be missed.
